Before The Year Ends, You Can Open Doors For Students

Dear Friend,

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to share a meaningful update and offer you a final opportunity to make an impact by December 31.

This year, The Pathway Initiative was recognized by Boston After School and Beyond for its lasting impact on youth development and engagement (pictured above), honoring our work expanding access to careers in medicine and science for students from underrepresented communities.

That impact is reflected in students like Meriel, who participated in TPI’s Summer Internship Program, and hopes to one day become a pediatric nurse.

Through this program, students gain early, hands-on exposure to science careers through lab-based learning, peer collaboration, and mentorship from professionals in medical and STEM fields. For many participants, it is their first opportunity to experience what a future in STEM can actually look like, not just imagine it.

Meriel shared how meaningful it was to learn directly from professionals and to be in an environment where curiosity, growth, and belonging were encouraged. Experiences like this help students build confidence and begin to see themselves as future leaders in medicine and other STEM fields.

A year-end gift today:

  • Supports immersive programs that expand access and opportunity
  • Helps students gain confidence through real-world exposure
  • Allows you to close the year knowing your generosity made a tangible difference

This is your last chance in 2025 to invest in programs that help students see what is possible.

Thank you for being part of this work and for helping students build a clearer path forward.

With gratitude,

Lawrence B. Mensah, DPhil., Ph.D.
Founder and Executive Director

P.S. Every gift, at any level, helps ensure students begin the new year with mentorship, opportunity, and the belief that a future in STEM is within reach.
