High School Medical Academy Program

Who This Program is For

The High School Medical Academy Program is open to high school juniors and seniors who intend to enroll in a four-year Pre-Medical college in the fall immediately following high school graduation. Ideal applicants demonstrate persistence, leadership, and a desire to be a role model and mentor other students in underserved communities. Recipients must commit to the TPI medical professional career path.

Registration Deadline is: March 10, 2024

Students will be selected on a rolling basis, so we strongly encourage students to apply as soon as possible to increase their chances of being accepted.

What This Program Offers

• Career mentorship and socio-emotional counseling support
• Support in science education for 10th- 11th-grade students
• Summer Science Foundation courses
• Summer study skills and leadership training workshops
• Financial literacy workshops

Program Requirements

  • Demonstrate significant financial need, eligible for the Pell Grant
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Low-income, African American, Hispanic, and Latinx
  • Minimum GPA requirement
  • Participation in an approved college readiness and access program in grades 10 and 11.
