Help Future Doctors Like Kristina on Giving Tuesday

Increasing diversity in medicine and alleviating the shortage of clinicians in underserved communities.

Dear Supporter,

Today is GivingTuesday, a global movement of generosity, showing the power we all have to help build a better future. We hope you’ll consider donating to The Pathway Initiative Inc. (TPI) today and throughout this season of giving, to help students like Kristina succeed on their path toward—and beyond—a medical education.

A high school junior, Kristina credits her summer 2024 TPI internship at Boston Medical Center with regaining her confidence and value as a young Black woman. “TPI supported and enriched my journey toward my long-standing dream of being a doctor, by focusing on students like me” Kristina says. “This program boosted my chances of being able to achieve my dreams. In the end, the more students who can pursue medicine and participate in programs like TPI, the more people we can all help in the future.” Read more about Kristina’s experience

A gift of $50 provides a student like Kristina with mentorship sessions and $200 is all it takes to fund a STEM tutorial for up to five high school students like her– every dollar makes a difference for our students. Make your one-time or monthly donation today, like or share our social media posts, or forward this newsletter to a friend to help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 by the end of the year. The more we can raise, the more students we can help. Contact us for more ways to give, including through stock, donor advised funds, planned giving, and more.

At a time when both diversity efforts and health care are facing challenges across the United States, your support means the world to our students—and it directly impacts the future health of communities of color, in Massachusetts and around the country. On behalf of students like Kristina, we thank you for your continued support of The Pathway Initiative Inc, and wish you a happy and healthy holiday season.

With thanks,

Lawrence B. Mensah, DPhil., Ph.D.
