The Pathway Initiative (TPI) was deeply honored to be named one of six recipients of Pfizer’s Moonshot Grant—an award recognizing organizations that are breaking barriers and creating opportunities for the next generation.

TPI’s Executive Director, Dr. Lawrence Mensah, joined representatives from the other grantee organizations at Pfizer’s headquarters in New York to meet with the Pfizer team and celebrate this shared commitment to equity and education.

Through this $100,000 grant, TPI will continue expanding its work of opening doors for students from underrepresented and underserved communities—helping them pursue their academic and career aspirations in the health sciences.

“I’m truly honored that The Pathway Initiative has been selected for this Moonshot Grant,” said Dr. Mensah. “Pfizer’s partnership reflects a shared belief in nurturing young people who will one day shape the future of healthcare through excellence, compassion, and equity.”

Other inspiring organizations recognized as Moonshot Grant recipients included KRESANCCU BRITEMattawan WiredCats, and Hood Code.

This recognition strengthens TPI’s mission to ensure that talent, not circumstance, determines opportunity. Together with partners like Pfizer, TPI is building pathways that transform potential into purpose—and creating a more equitable future for the next generation of healthcare leaders.
