Ricardo Correa, M.D., Ed. D., F.A.C.E., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.M.Q is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Program Director for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship and Director for Diversity in Graduate Medical Education at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Staff Clinician and Researcher at Phoenix V.A.M.C. and Faculty at Mayo School of Medicine, Mayo Clinic – Arizona.

Dr. Correa is the editor of Dynamed, S.G.I.M. Forum, Journal of General Internal Medicine, Frontier Endocrinology, Thyroid, Clinical Thyroidology among other journals. And has been involved with local, regional and national organizations in the areas of medical education, leadership, and physician wellbeing, including the A.M.A. Joy in Medicine organization, A.C.G.M.E. at different levels including the Duty Hour Task Force, N.B.M.E., A.B.I.M., A.B.M.S., among others.

He is board-certified in Medical Quality and author of the book, “Case report: basics and publication.” and senior Co-Editor of the book “Endocrinology of Aging.” His research focuses on neuroendocrinology, mainly on pituitary and adrenal tumor and healthcare disparities in diabetes in Latinx populations.

Dr. Correa has won several awards for his recognitions for service to the underserved communities and providing educational support to many underrepresented students on their path to careers in medicine. Some of his awards include the Presidential Leadership scholar, 100 Hispanic Inspiring Scientist and many more.
