Jeffery O. Boateng

Dr. Jeffery Owusu Boateng holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from University of Ghana Medical School and master’s degree in Epidemiology/Biostatistics and Maternal and Child Health from Boston University’s School of Public Health. He is an aspiring pediatric cardiologist. He is interested in clinical research and currently works as a researcher at the Boston Medical Center. His research areas include Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Symptoms (NOWS), perinatal COVID-19 studies, opioid genetics studies, placental opioid studies, and placental immunology studies.

Dr. Owusu is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders in healthcare and first-generation underrepresented immigrants who want to pursue a career in medicine. Jeffery currently serves as the youth leader and mentor for the youth wing of his local church in Boston.

Dr. Owusu is excited to bring his experience and passion to help premedical students and medical students with general career advice, test taking stills, preparing personal statements, interview coaching, and general professional development.
