Burak Yuzuguldu

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Dr. Burak Yuzuguldu is a graduate of Ege University Medical School in Izmir, Turkey. He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. He’s currently investigating the immunosuppressive environment in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and mechanisms of epigenetic regulation.

Dr. Yuzuguldu is also a Clinical Research Fellow and a member of the Diabetic Foot Ulcer Prevention and Treatment Council, and Endocrinology Department at Ege University Medical School. He has also served as a Volunteer Clinical Intern and Clinical Research Fellow at the Pediatric Hematology clinics in outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Yuzuguldu has received several awards including the Medal in National Mathematics Olympiad and the TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Undergraduate Students Project fund.

His volunteer activities include helping to develop a variety of projects to give medical students an opportunity to participate in volunteer activities at Leyla’dan Sonra in Izmir, Turkey. He is very passionate about helping students find summer research projects, prepare for the MCAT, and USMLE Step 1 and 2 board examination.
