Amanda Roberts serves as the Program Manager for the Summer Internship and Health Academy programs at The Pathway Initiative. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Global Health with a minor in Biology, complemented by a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
Amanda has a robust combination of work experiences in both the STEM and education fields. Her tenure as a Research Assistant at the Syed Pediatric GI Lab and Darden’s Behavioral Research and Development Lab provided her with invaluable insights into interdisciplinary research methodologies. Additionally, her role as a Teacher’s Aide/Assistant for K-12 and public health college students equipped her with effective strategies for conveying STEM and health-related information.
She is deeply committed to promoting health equity and education, motivated by her passion for ensuring that everyone has equal access to health and educational resources. Her dedication stems from a strong belief in the transformative power of education and its ability to empower individuals to improve their communities. In her role at TPI, Amanda aims to drive positive change by comprehensively preparing students for their future endeavors. She is particularly excited about guiding students at the outset of their STEM and pre-medical journeys, fostering their growth and development every step of the way.
